Top 10 Strangest MP3 Players
TechEBlog lists the top 10 strangest MP3 players ever, with pictures. From the article: "CURE-alpha is an MP3 player that supposedly emits alpha waves which calm and rejuvinate the brain. They are transmitted at very low frequencies while listening to MP3/WMA files.
MP3BLOGS > FLUX BLOG: Simon Bookish "Terry Riley Disco (Max Tundra Remix)"
This sounds about as much like "Terry Riley Disco" as that Stereolab song sounds like "John Cage Bubblegum," which is to say, it's much closer to the second half of the imaginary genre assignment than the first. Simon Bookish speak-sings about his "mixed-up genre for a mixed-up world" in a tone and accent reminiscent of Klaus Nomi when he wasn't in opera mode over an inspired track by Max Tundra that begins as a mesmerizing slow burner before shifting into something far more manic and explosive around the halfway point.

MP3 BLOGS > STEREOGUM > Guns N' Roses tracks leaked

STEREOGUM.COM: Earlier this week, Page Six ran a story about Axl Rose bartering entrance to the Stereo nightclub after closing (at 5:30 AM) so he could continue his 44th birthday bash. His offer? A listening party for the COMPLETED Chinese Democracy.
Questions for the readers:
1. Is anyone (including indie snobs) anticipating this album?
2. What do you think of these leaked tracks?
Guns N' Roses - "I.R.S." (MP3)
Guns N' Roses - "The Blues" (MP3)
[Editor's note: please note, that the MP3 links are external and the files not are a part of this web site. Since the links come from 'friendly', fan-driven sites, and the files usually are leaked by the record company or the artists themselves, they are most often secure, but rarely online for long. Proceed with caution. Buy the music, when available.]

MP3 PLAYERS > Shiro AS, the soccer ball MP3 player

We've seen plenty of oddly shaped DAPs in the past, but this soccer ball-shaped Shiro AS 1GB flash player gives 'em all a run for their money by sporting one of the least pocketable form factors we've seen yet. It includes an OLED display, FM recording, a 10 hour batter life, and supports MP3 and WMA, though there's no word on Windows Media DRM support. The player is due in Singapore this April -- with a few ill-fated soccer matches to follow.
